This year we decided to integrate our Big Red Cloud online accounts software with Clover, a Cloud based EPOS solution.

Clover is designed for retail businesses at a fraction of the cost of traditional EPOS systems. Clover is a fully integrated point of sale and payment management system allowing you to take payments no matter how small your business.

In addition to saving you money and cutting down on paper work, the Big Red Cloud and Clover epos and accounts system integration has five has key benefits.

  1. Invoicing and credit sales

Some businesses will offer customers the ability to purchase products on credit. Clover makes recording these transactions easy by allowing the retailer to record such sales directly in the Clover terminal. These sales are then automatically sent to Big Red Cloud as invoices that can be emailed to the customers’ accounts payable department the same day.

Big Red Cloud provides a full Debtors management function, managing payments against customer accounts, allocation of receipts against invoices, print and email of statements to customers as well as reporting that enables the retailer stay on top of monies owing from customers.

  1. Everyday accounting tasks made easy

Often small businesses struggle when it comes to calculating VAT. We even wrote a handy VAT guide to try and help small business owners understand the topic. Luckily, with the integration of Big Red Cloud, all sales are posted to our cloud accounting software which automatically records the sales VAT amounts so you don’t have to worry! In addition, Big Red Cloud also manages VAT reclaimable against purchases, permitting management of the exact amount due to Revenue using the integrated VAT reporting.

  1. Time saving and efficient

The joint collaboration of Big Red Cloud and Clover eliminates time wasting Z reads, and manual input of same to the accounting system, a chore disliked by retailers the length and breadth of the country. Seeing as all sales are recorded directly from Clover into Big Red Cloud, the business owner has full visibility of the performance of the business at all times and can log in remotely to check the status of critical business KPIs.

  1. Hassle free collaboration

Big Red Cloud allows you to give your accountant access to your company accounts whenever and wherever they need to, in real time. This saves even more time and also means and also means that the need to exchange backups between you and your accountant is eliminated.

  1. Rent v Buy

A key benefit of a Cloud based epos and accounts system such as Clover and Big Red Cloud is the whole rental model of the hardware and software versus the traditional retail approach of spending thousands upfront on hardware and software.

Run Logic, a start-up sport store and cafe based in Dublin, has experienced the benefits of this EPOS, with owner Ash Senyk saying that ‘Clover and Big Red Cloud have transformed how I do business day-to-day’.
