What&#8217;s more, the speed of change appears to be increasing. Nothing stands still.<\/p>\n<p>When we launched Big Red Cloud in 2012 we did so as we believed there would be a big swing to cloud-based\u00a0software services. We were right, and today we support over 4,000 customers on our cloud-based accounts platform.<\/p>\n<p>Today, over 70% of the Irish population or 2.3 million people are using smartphones as their main mobile device.\u00a0With this rise in smartphone\u00a0penetration, we also realised the need to service this emerging\u00a0market.
