It is very important for small businesses to have an effective accounting system in place. The accounting needs of small businesses are far different from those of large companies. A large company will have a large team of accountants. For a small business this is not feasible and simply not needed.

Yet bookkeeping needs to be done! It is the cornerstone of any business. It is important to have an efficient bookkeeping system in place. Online accounting software is the cost effective solution.

A good package can be all you need to effectively maintain your accounts and allowing you to concentrate on the more pressing day to day business activities.

Cloud accounting packages are a lower cost accounting solution. It is efficient.  It is ideal for sole traders where there is little time on hand or accounting knowledge.

Online accounting systems cover the spectrum of essential accounting activities. It can make it very easy to log sales invoicing and expenses. There are fields which the program will prompt you to enter eliminating a lot of possible human error. VAT and income tax reporting, salaries and purchases invoicing all become so much easier through a user friendly online accounts system. Everything is a single click away. Data exporting is child’s play.

Security isn’t an issue with cloud accounting and using Big Red Cloud – any accountant can log on with any internet enabled device. It is just so much easier! All your accounts information is available with a click of a mouse. There are also no limits on the number of users who can log in to the system.

Having a qualit cloud accounting system helps you avoid many of the pitfalls that are in place from having irregular and ad hoc bookkeeping habits.  Surprises can easily pop up when a badly organised accounting system is in place. Online cloud accounting keeps everything easily accessible and has added functionality that traditional accounting tools, like spreadsheets and ledgers, lack.

Big Red Cloud offers an extremely user friendly accounting software package that will enable you to manage and maintain your purchases, invoicing and vat with just a couple of clicks. It will also produce a profit and loss, full trading and balance sheet.

One of the major differences between cloud accounting software and traditional software packages is that it is sold as a service rather than a product.  This means that a small business does not have to make one large upfront payment.  The cost of the online accounting system is far more manageable as it is on an ongoing basis.

A business is likely to wind up paying for upgrades to a traditional accounting software package anyway through the necessary upgrades and possible training costs that may be incurred. With online accounting software most of these costs are not your problem! The service provider must look after these issues including hardware failures or system incompatibility. This is a huge benefit for small businesses. It means they will not incur unexpected costs down the line.
