Sharing up to date information with clients can be one of the more difficult tasks facing accountants. More efficient systems have developed since the days of accountants receiving shoeboxes full of receipts once per year (although the habit may not have entirely died out) but there is still plenty of room for improvement.

Each client an accountant has may use entirely different systems, some may keep accounts in a ledger, written by hand that either they or the accountant transcribe into a computer spreadsheet.

Others may use their own system that they store directly with spreadsheet software. Others still may use custom accounting software for their business that exports spreadsheet files in one format or another.

Out of Sync

These are all then emailed to the accountant in various formats with different dates and names for the files. For the accountant, just keeping track of all these different files and file types can be difficult enough but they then have to be able to verify that the accounts themselves are accurate.

Mistakes could be made in the transcribing from ledger to computer, errors could occur as file formats are read by different programs on different systems.

All of these variations and pitfalls have to be kept in mind by the accountant as they go through each of these documents. However, the technology is available that allows accountants to see exactly what their client sees, at the same time in the same format.

Cloud Accounting Software

Cloud based accounting software offers an ideal solution for accountants. It is simple, straightforward and easy for all clients to use. Big Red Cloud provide an online accounting solution that is particularly well suited to accountants’ requirements.

Benefits for Accountants

One of the greatest benefits Big Red Cloud offers accountants is its unlimited account access. This means that clients using Big Red cloud can provide their Accountants with free direct access to their accounts online.

Accountants no longer have to receive account details piecemeal via email. They can simply log in to clients’ accounts and directly view the most up to date client account status. This not only saves time and effort but it also minimises the potential for errors in transmitting the data.

Where there are errors accountants can easily access the data that clients have entered and quickly track the error to its source.

Simplicity and Support

Another benefit Big Red Cloud provides for accountants is its simplicity. It is designed to be used easily and intuitively with entries made in the style of a traditional pen and paper ledger. This means clients no longer need to check with heir accountant how to properly use complicated accounting software.

Where clients do have difficulty Big Red Cloud provides much greater access to support than with traditional accounting software. Because it is provided as a service Big Red Cloud includes three types of support; voice, IM and email. All support is in clear simple language that anyone can understand.

Synchronicity

As well as being able to access the same data at the same time, where all of an accountant’s clients are using the same cloud based software it makes it very simple for the accountant to keep track of everything.

All of these features help to promote a better, more cohesive relationship between accountants and their clients.
