Get the Setup Right With Help if You Want It

The date on a document and the accounting period in which it needs to be dealt with are not always the same thing.

That becomes important when an invoice or payment is discovered after a VAT period has already been prepared, or when a transaction relating to an earlier period arrives late.

Big Red Cloud lets you retain the correct transaction information while controlling the accounting period in which it is recorded. That gives the business or its accountant a proper way to deal with late paperwork without simply changing dates to make the books fit.

Keep Working While Year End Is Being Completed

The end of the financial year does not stop the next month’s invoices, receipts and payments from arriving.

Big Red Cloud lets you continue entering transactions for the first three months of the new financial year before the previous year-end process has been completed. Once year end is run, those transactions fall into the corresponding months of the new year.

This means the business can keep its books current while its accountant finishes the previous year.

If a genuine adjustment is subsequently required in the previous financial year, authorised users can also make controlled changes to the old year rather than treating it as permanently inaccessible.
