Big Red Cloud’s CEO Marc O’Dwyer Triumphs as AIBF Entrepreneur of the Year

With a background in marketing and a fervent passion for simplifying accounting and payroll solutions, Marc embarked on his entrepreneurial path in 1992. His extensive career in sales, including roles at Pitney Bowes and Panasonic, provided the foundation for his venture into the world of accounting software.
His entrepreneurial spirit took root when he became a reseller for Take 5, an Irish accounting solution. Marc’s astute business acumen led him to purchase the majority share in Big Red Book in 2000, transforming it into a cash-positive entity. Following this success, he established and managed the most successful SAP Channel Partner business in EMEA, showcasing his prowess in the industry.
In 2012, Marc launched Big Red Cloud, the online iteration of Big Red Book, further solidifying his commitment to providing cutting-edge accounting solutions. His dedication to simplicity and efficiency in accounting has empowered countless SMEs to establish robust foundations for their businesses.
As the AIBF Entrepreneur of the Year 2024, Marc O’Dwyer stands as a shining example of entrepreneurial excellence in Ireland and it is with great honour that the AIBF names Marc as our Entrepreneur of the Year for 2024.
