Big Red Cloud Launches Online Accounting Solution Hosted on Microsoft Azure to Help Customers Work More Efficiently and Empower Business Owners to Take Control of Their Finances

7th July 2017

Big Red Cloud online accounting software for the micro- and small-business market in Ireland and the U.K. recently launched its Big Red Cloud Power Accounting app on Microsoft Azure.

Azure SQL Database enables Big Red Cloud to transfer large data files held in Microsoft Excel and convert the data into a format that seamlessly uploads to customers’ Big Red Cloud accounts system. Azure SQL Database also makes automatic backups and offers high availability through replication. Azure Storage provides a secure place for Big Red Cloud to store large amounts of data that is accessible worldwide, available from the cloud or an on-premises server, on any device.

By integrating customers’ Big Red Cloud accounts with Excel, the Power Accounting app is designed to enable users to import and export data seamlessly in Excel. Users can now work offline by inputting transactions into their locally installed Excel and then upload all data back to the relevant accounts later with Big Red Cloud Power Accounting.

“Our customers’ feedback and suggestions are very important to us, and one of the requests that we kept getting was to empower our cloud customers to invoice offline and to handle high volumes of invoicing in a few quick steps,” said Marc O’Dwyer, CEO, Big Red Cloud. “Therefore, we launched Big Red Cloud Power Accounting on Microsoft Azure. Power Accounting allows users to invoice when broadband is not available, and it handles large volumes of invoices, speeding up the day-to-day tasks of our users.”

Using the Big Red Cloud Power Accounting add-in for Excel, you can import and export data to and from your company using Big Red Cloud Power Accounting. This add-in connects to the Big Red Cloud online accounting system to retrieve and export accounting data to Excel. The add-in also permits the entry of data in Excel that can be uploaded back to Big Red Cloud, offering a convenient experience when you are offline. Big Red Cloud Power Accounting is available to Big Red Cloud subscribers free of charge.

“We are pleased to see Big Red Cloud launch its Power Accounting app on Microsoft Azure,” said Nicole Herskowitz, senior director of Product Marketing, Azure, Microsoft Corp. “Azure’s portfolio of services, combined with the most comprehensive compliance certifications of any public cloud provider, make it an ideal foundation for Big Red Cloud to help customers manage their financial data and processes.”
